The best podcasts for daydreaming

Who am I?

Hi, I’m Andrea — a creative soul with a soft spot for quiet mornings, handwritten notes, and golden hour thoughts. I started curating podcasts as a way to find stillness in between everything else, and ended up discovering voices that helped me feel seen, inspired, and softly motivated. My lists are for the dreamers. For the ones figuring it out, starting something new, or needing just a few moments of escape. Whether it’s journaling with a warm drink or taking a walk while romanticizing your future, I hope you find something here that feels like it was made for you. I chose daydreaming as a theme because, for me, it’s never been a waste of time—it’s always been where my softest ideas lived first. Whether it was learning a new language, starting my own podcast, or imagining a version of life that felt more peaceful… daydreaming was the doorway to all of it. During moments when life felt overwhelming or uncertain, I found comfort in podcasts that gave me space to think, feel, and wonder without pressure. These weren’t always “motivational” podcasts—they were soft, honest conversations, personal reflections, or quiet storytelling that reminded me I wasn’t alone in figuring things out. I created this playlist for people like me—who are building gentle lives, dream by dream, and who love a podcast that feels like golden hour in audio form. Whether you’re journaling, walking, or simply letting your thoughts float… these episodes are for the moments when your mind drifts somewhere beautiful.

What is my podcast playlist about?

This playlist is a soft space for daydreamers. It’s made up of podcasts that spark gentle reflection, creativity, and the kind of thoughts that float in when you're not trying too hard. These aren’t high-energy, hustle-filled shows—they’re warm, calming, and sometimes even a little magical. Whether you’re starting a new chapter, getting lost in your thoughts, or just slowing down on purpose, each podcast on this list is here to offer something light, thoughtful, or quietly inspiring.

The podcasts I picked and why

1. The Psychology of your 20s

Why this podcast?

This podcast is like a soft mirror—reflecting the feelings we all go through in quiet moments. It doesn’t push productivity or perfection. Instead, it speaks to that in-between space where you’re figuring things out, shifting identities, and dreaming about the life you want. I love how Jemma makes room for vulnerability without ever sounding heavy. It’s honest, relatable, and full of “me too” moments—perfect for thoughtful walks or cozy afternoons with your thoughts.

2. Let’s Slow Down: Simple + Intentional Living, Decluttering, Life on Purpose

Why this podcast?

This podcast feels like a reminder to take a breath. Krista’s way of speaking is gentle and real—it’s like having a friend remind you that your pace is enough. It’s not about hustle or pressure. It’s about aligning life with what feels good, which is something I keep coming back to when I daydream about the future I want. It pairs perfectly with journaling, decluttering your mind, or simply doing nothing—and not feeling guilty about it.

Let’s Slow Down is a podcast hosted by Annemarie Stolting about harnessing the transformative power of slowing down and simplifying life, so that you find clarity and guidance to live with intention and pursue your authentic purpose. We’ll talk about realistic ways to ease up on the daily grind to calm your mind, declutter your home and free your schedule to reveal what truly matters.

3. The Lazy Genius Podcast

Why this podcast?

This podcast is all about doing what matters without the burnout. Kendra has this way of making you feel like you don’t need to have it all figured out—you just need to start where you are. It’s practical but still soft, encouraging, and even funny in moments. I picked it because daydreaming isn’t just about floating in ideas—it’s about learning how to make space for them in real life, in a gentle and non-performative way.
